An Overview of P.L.R.D.

In order to carry on a critical study of various dimensions of Yoga and to rationally understand and interpret them, the P.L.R.D. functions in two broad directions, Basic and Analytical. The BASIC WORK pertains to Research on Yogic Texts and allied topics which serves as ground work for yogic education and its application. Such a research work aims at accessibility of source material on yoga by providing Reference Work. Further, the Textual Work is expected to enhance the quantum of knowledge in the field of yoga which can further be applied in various fields such as Therapy, Value Education, Psychology, Physical Education, Spirituality and so on.

The ANALYTICAL WORK endeavors to unfold various yogic concepts, practices and effects available in yogic and allied Texts. This work purports to make available the yogic wisdom accessible to the modern men who are deeply interested in yogic practices and wisdom. The Comparative Studies aims at highlighting the universal and secular aspects of yogic sadhana by way of comparing it with other forms of spiritualities, which are akin to yoga. However, presently this work is in a proposed form.
