Guidence Application Form

Hostel facilities for teacher-trainees are being offered to the Indian teacher, trainees free of cost. Further, the food is also being provided to them at the subsidised rate of 50%. College Office starts from 8.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and 1.00 to 4.30 p.m. except on holidays.

Caution Money
This is normally refundable to a student after completion of the course. Any loss to the Institution suffered at the hands of any student, is recoverable from this deposit.

Discipline and Conduct
Students are expected to respect Yogic discipline which will be an integral part of training. Disrespect to discipline will render the student to lose his/her studentship. It will be obligatory on the part of every student to offer himself/herself as a subject for any works, even on a holiday if so necessary, at Lonavla or at any place outside Lonavla where he/she would be taken at the expense of the Samiti.

Attendance at every lecture is compulsory. A student, who for unavoidable reasons wishes to abstain from a single class or to leave the hostel campus during night, should obtain permission in advance from the lecturer concerned and the Warden/Principal accordingly.

Eligibility to appear in the examination requires 95% attendance in all the classes. No student will be allowed to appear for any outside examination or to engage himself in any extracurricular activity.

Some times, family responsibility is a hindrance in prosecuting the studies whole heartedly. The student having any such encumbrances should make every arrangement to meet such difficulties in order to apply without diverting his/her attention fully while here.

No plea for absence or concession in this respect will be entertained. In case the studentship is discontinued on the ground of indiscipline, no fees and caution money would be refunded (for details refer to prospectus).

Examination
There will be final examinations, written and/or oral, as well as practical. Besides the result of these examinations, the daily, monthly and terminal examinations of the students will be taken into consideration in assessing his/her progress. The examination will be conducted on basis of 80%:20% marks at par with different University trends.

Certificate/ Diploma
Those students, who have shown satisfactory progress throughout in either of the course and pass the prescribed tests, will be awarded accordingly CCY/ D.Y.Ed. certificate from Kaivalyadhama S.Y.M.Samiti.

For Students especially from other countries: (Men and Women)

  1. TOURIST VISA will not be valid for securing admission to the College. Before a foreign student joins the College in either of the courses, he/she should possess a valid student visa.
  2. Diet will be strictly vegetarian in the Indian sense of the word & very simple in nature.
  3. Fee will not be calculated on days basis. It is for the full course. No refund is permitted for vacation period.
  4. Foreign students are not eligible for any concessions. They will have to bear all the expenses themselves as per charges shown.
  5. They need to prepare themselves well in English before joining the College. Some knowledge of Sanskrit and Hindi would be of help
  6. Information on other points is the same as given in the prospectus

N.B:- Lonavla does not have the facility of exchanging foreign currencies, although institute is trying its best to have such facility. Hence, the students are advised to make their own arrangement by way of Travellers Cheques or Indian currency before reaching Lonavla from Bombay or Pune.

EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR THE COURSES

  1. A full bedding like mattresses, bedsheet, pillow, two blankets etc.
  2. Personal clothings.
  3. An umbrella and/or rain coat, a torch.
  4. A mosquito net.
  5. Thali, Katori, glass, spoon, drinking cup. Not for foreigners.

Conclusion
The College is founded for those young graduates who want to selflessly serve humanity on the moral and spiritual grounds. Hence graduates having political or economic ambitions are advised not to seek admission here. However, those who feel that they have a call to strive for the spiritual uplift of humanity are earnestly invited to join.

Secular PRAYER has its own importance. Though not compulsory, it is desirable that students participate in it with full understanding.

There will be workshops on KRIYA YOGA under the DIRECT GUIDANCE of the DIRECTOR of the Institution which are COMPULSORY to ATTEND.
